Worms 2 Cursor Set Version 2.0!

	by Jim

Thanks for downloading EarthWormJim's Worms2 Cursor Set.
It replaces your regular cursors or mouse pointers
with Worms2 worms. Below are step by step
instructions on installing and removing the
animations.

***Note: This a totally updated cursor set. Notice the 2.0?
More animations, better colors, more shading.***

System Requirements: At least 16-bit color, Windows 95, 204 kilobytes of space.

I know there are a lot of steps but it is fairly easy.

How to install these fine and dandy Worms 2 Cursors:

1. Move these cursors to c:/windows/cursors/
This folder SHOULD already exist.
If it doesn't, STOP IMMEDIATELY.

2. Click on the "Start" button on your Windows taskbar.

3. Now hold the mouse over "Settings".

4. Now click on the 'Control Panel' icon
which comes up (along with a few others)
once you held the mouse over "Settings".

5. Now a window should come up with a
bunch of weird icons that give you the
strange urge to click them.

6. Go to the one labeled 'Mouse' (hint:
the icon is a picture of a mouse)

7. Now you will probably see a screen
come up with a big mouse and a Jack-in-the
-box animation.

8. Look up at the very top where it says
'Buttons | Pointers | Motion | General |

9. Click on the one labeled 'Pointers'.

10. Now, you will see your current cursors.

11. Click once on the 'Normal Select' cursor,
that should make it appear highlighted.

12. Now go to browse, and go to the
directory where you unzipped these
Worms 2 Cursors into.

13. Now pick '_normal.ani' then go to 'OK'.

14. Now instead of seeing a boring old
arrow, there will be a worm.

15. Replace the following cursors as follows

Normal Select = _normal.ani
Help Select = _help.ani
Working in Background =	_background.ani
Busy =			_busy.ani
Precision Select =	_precision.ani
Text Select = _text.ani
Handwriting =		_handwriting.ani
Unavailable =		_unavailable.ani
Vertical Resize = _vertical.ani
Horizontal Resize =	_horizontal.ani
Diagonal Resize 1 =	_diagonal1.ani
Diagonal Resize 2 =	_diagonal2.ani
Move =			_move.ani
Alternate Select =	_alternate1.ani, or _alternate2.ani.

(_Alternate1.ani and _alternate2.ani are different. Pick your favorite.)

16. Now go to 'Save As' and name your
cursor set 'Wormaggadon Cursors' or whatever
but DO NOT NAME IT 'Windows Standard'
or you wont be able to get your regular
cursors back!

17. Now, finally, go to 'Apply' at
the bottom.

18. You can now close all those windows
I told you to open up by clicking on
the 'X' on the top left of every window.

19. There you go, now you should see
cute little worms.

YOU BETTER LIKE THESE, BECAUSE I SPENT A LOT OF TIME ON THEM!

How to get rid of the Worms2 cursors
and get the regular ones back:

20. Repeat steps 2-9.

21. In the 'Scheme Box' (right below the
Menu bar at the top) Hit the little down
arrow and select 'Windows Standard'.

22. And now go to 'Apply' at the bottom.

23. Now you can close all the windows
again with the 'X' in the top left
corner of each one.

Note: If you named your Worms 2 Cursor
Scheme 'Windows Standard' like I told
you not to do, then you are stuck with
them!
