**ALL PERFECTLY CENTERED & HIT DEAD ON TARGET**

Release Date: July 17, 1999

I do not recommend using these if you do not know much about autoexec & pak editing.

This is my first release of regular gun crosshairs. They are integreted into my autoexec (which I have included) and change each time you change your weapon. There were so many crosshairs out there to choose from I couldn't decide what ones to use. Do I use one of the 3 for my akimbo's or do I use it for a shotgun/m4 crosshair? So I decided to combine a bunch of them to make an all purpose crosshair (ch2.pcx). The regular crosshair (ch1.pcx) is the basic one (that has been realigned) and painted to look like the Half-Life crosshair, slightly smaller. The second one works great, for akimbo pistols, Handcannon, and the M4. Seeing as how none of those 3 types hit dead center, I left the center open for you to place your 'target/enemy' in for area damage instead of going for precision. The third crosshair (ch3.pcx) I use for long range pistol sniping. If I am way far away from someone and only have a pistol and one clip, I can hit kill him everytime with this crosshair. I hold down my 'F' key (see my included autoexec.cfg) to tighten the sensitivity and get an exact dot of where my shot will hit (I recommend crouching too, as I have seen better results).

note: I use a wheel mouse to change crosshairs so if you don't have one, um, I would bind your last unused weapon key (5 in my case) to use the M4, handcannon, and shotgun with crosshair set to '2'. (once again see how I have mwheelup bound in my autoexec)

-Installation-

1. Use Pakexplr or QPed to open your \QUAKE2\ACTION\PAK0.PAK file.
2. Replace (backup your old ones) the files ch1.pcx ch2.pcx & ch3.pcx under the \pics\ folder
3. Close the pak & edit your autoexec.cfg
4. Add changes where you see fit (use mine as an example).
5. Save all and try em' out.

-note-
1. Has been tested in 640x480, 800x600, 1024x768, & 1152x864 in Default OpenGL
2. Tested on a Velocity 4400 TNT card ... should work fine with Voodoo as well.

-IMPORTANT-

For use with Action Quake 2 only.
You may use these files in any other pak as long as you include this .txt file.
All images created or completely modified solely by me.
Thanks!
