Before using your EPROM programmer
please read these instructions.

1. Turn off computer and connect the
programmer to the user port, making
sure that the index notch on the plug
is to the top.

2. Turn on computer, and if your
software is on ROM type *BLOW.
( WARNING NEVER INSERT EPROM INTO
PROGRAMMER WITHOUT HAVING FIRST RUN THE
BLOWER PROGRAM, DOING SO COULD DAMAGE
THE EPROM ). Use the cursor and return
keys to select an option.

3. EPROMs should be inserted with their
notch to the white index mark on the
socket. The programmer will program 8,
16, and 32k EPROMs. These are selected
with option 'A' from the main menu. The
program will select the most common
programming voltage for the type you
are using. The 'H' option however
allows you to change this for any
non-standard devices.

4. Option 'B' allows you to load or
save the file to be programmed into or
from the computer's buffer.
There are four options on the menu. Use
option 1 if you know the filename and
drive. Note that when programming 32k
devices, the file will have to be split
into two 16k parts and part 1 loaded
and programmed first. Option 2 will
give you disc information on the
currently selected drive. Option 3
allows you to alter the currently
selected drive, and option 4 saves the
contents of the buffer to disc.

5. Option 'C' will verify that an EPROM
is erased. This should be done before
any attempt is made to program.

6. Option 'D' will read the contents of
the EPROM in the programmer into a
memory buffer starting at &3000 and
display the buffer contents.

7. Option 'E' programs the EPROM and
verifies it.

8. Option 'F' enters a memory editor
enabling you to view or alter the
buffer's contents. You can scan up and
down the buffer using the cursor keys.
Holding the shift key down too speed up
the scanning. Bytes can be altered by
simply typing in a new value over the
top of the old one. The input can be
toggled between hex, decimal, binary
and ASCII with the TAB key.

9. Option 'G' will verify the EPROM
against the buffer and report any
differences.

10. Option 'H' toggles between 12v and
21v to allow programming of any
non-standard devices.

11. Also included in the package is a
ROM manager program. This can easily be
accessed by pressing escape. This
program is self explanatory, and
assumes any sideways RAM if fitted to
be in bank 'F'. You may subsequently
return to the main menu at any time by
again pressing escape.

PLEASE NOTE:-
When toggling between programs all
previous settings will be lost, and
require resetting before programming
an EPROM.
