The Game Master 2 SRAM saving/loading utilities
-----------------------------------------------

These utilities are useful if you have the original
The Game Master 2 by Konami. You can save the SRAM
to disk and vice versa. The files are compatible
with Virtual MSX and fMSX (fMSX has no Game Master 2
SRAM at this moment, but maybe in the future.)

Usage
-----

Make a disk with MSX DOS and the LOADSRAM.COM and
SAVESRAM.COM on it. Insert it in the drive, insert
the Game Master 2 cartridge and switch your MSX on.
Keep <SPACE> or <GRAPH> depressed to bypass the
Game Master 2 and go to MSX DOS. Now you are ready
to save and load the SRAM.

To convert from SRAM to file, type savesram <filename>.
To convert from file to SRAM, type loadsram <filename>.

If you wish to use the SRAM file with fMSX or Virtual
MSX, name the file GMASTER2.RAM and:

* for Virtual MSX: place the file in the same directory
as your Game Master 2 ROM file.

* for fMSX: place the file in the same directory as
  your fmsx executable.

Notes:

The file size of the SRAM files in Virtual MSX 1.x is 16Kb
while the SRAM size itself is 8Kb. To create files in this
'old' format, use the '-o' option with savesram. loadsram
  can load both file sizes.

LOADSRAM.COM and SAVESRAM.COM are both written using
Micrsoft MACRO-80. I have included the sources. The programs
are freeware.

Enjoy, and please send me any interesting SRAM files!
