           KZPSA PCI-SCSI Miniport Driver for Windows NT

* This driver is intended to run with Windows NT Version 3.51 or later.  
  It has been tested on Alpha AXP systems.

* DECKZPSX now identifies its version information via "Properties".
  You can view this information under File Manager/Explorer by
  highlighting the driver name, then selecting Properties from the
  File pull-down menu.
    
* The floppy diskette should have the following files:
  
    TXTSETUP.OEM Driver installation script used during initial 
       Windows NT load

    OEMSETUP.INF Driver installation script for Windows NT Setup
       program

    DECKZPSX.SYS Windows NT Version 3.5 miniport driver for the 
       KZPSA Fast, Wide Differential SCSI adapter.  

    README.TXT This file

    DECSCSI A tagfile used by the setup procedure to insure the
       correct floppy is installed before copying files

 
* To install this driver during an installation of Windows NT: 

    1. Start the Windows NT installation process appropriate for your
       system
    2. Select "Custom Setup"
    3. Enter "S" to configure additional SCSI adapters and select 
       "Other"
    4. Insert the software diskette you created and press ENTER
    5. Select the DECKZPSX driver that matches your version of NT and 
       press ENTER
    6. Continue with standard installation procedure


* To install the driver if Windows NT is already running:
    
  WNT  V3.51
    1. Select "Windows NT Setup" from Main program group
    2. Select "Options" from Windows NT Setup window
    3. Select "Add/Remove SCSI Adapter" from menu
    4. Select "Add" from SCSI Adapter Setup window
    5. Select "Other" from the list of supported adapters
    6. Insert software diskette you created
    7. Enter "A:\" for path to NT driver and select "OK"
    8. Choose DECKZSX driver that matches your version of NT and
       select "OK"
 
  WNT V4.0
    1. From Control Panel, select "SCSI Adapters"
    2. Select the "Driver" tab
    3. Select "Add..."
    4. Select "Have Disk..."
    6. Insert software diskette you created
    7. Enter "A:\" for path to NT driver and select "OK"
    8. SCSI adapter window should indicate KZPSA; select "OK"
    9. Set correct path  and select "Continue"
   10. Restart the system when prompted

* After installing the KZPSA miniport driver and rebooting Windows 
  NT, SCSI disk and CD-ROM devices will be automatically 
  configured by NT.

* On some platforms, the KZPSA adapter is not supported by system console 
  firmware as part of the system boot path making it not possible to 
  install Windows NT to, or boot from a hard disk connected to the 
  KZPSA.  Check your system owners manual for NT boot support.
