This is the second release of the Java PIM optimized for the 3COM Palm Pilot.
This programm is a replacement for the PalmPilot Windows Desktop (Hotsync is comming later),
therefore you can edit the original desktop files.
But you can also use it as a normal PIM application.

Features:
---------
- Reads and Writes the PalmPilot Windows Desktop files (version 1.x and 2.0)
- Manage your Memos, ToDos, Expenses and Addresses simple and fast
- (100%) pure JAVA, so it schould run under every Operating System which has a Java Virtual Maschine
- Internationalisation (English and German included) (see FAQ)

How to Install:
---------------
If you can read this, you have already installed JPD. Because decompressing the ZIP
is all you have to do. Except the "." must be in your classpath.
OS/2 users see FAQ!

How to start:
-------------
Just type "java -casspath jpd.jar;ctag.jar;pilot.jar Jpd"
or use the run.cmd
OS/2 users run the install.cmd in the OS2 path to create the JPD folder on your
desktop.
First you should set the paths to yours data files.

Known problems:
---------------
-too many to type here :-))

The JPD has been tested under:
------------------------------
- OS/2 Warp 4 (SP#6) JDK 1.1.6
- Windows NT 4.0 (SP#3) JDK 1.1.6
- Linux 2.0.34 JDK 1.1.6 Beta 1
If you have tested it under a diffrent operating system, please send me a mail.

To Be Done (no priority):
-------------------------
- Hide private Records
- do the DateBook
- Nicer GUI (swing)
- much more :-)

Special thanks to IBM for Visual Age for Java for OS/2,

and to Oliver Breuckmann for designing the JPD-Homepage and programming the
protocol stack

Look out for a new version
