Actions
NeoN StoryBook lets you add action buttons to a presentation. During the presentation, these buttons can initiate a number of events.

Object actions
Object actions let you turn on and off the display of individual objects. Select the action "Show object" or "Hide object" and then select the target object.

Page actions
Page actions allow you to navigate within a project, jumping (both relative and absolute) between pages. Also in this group are actions for moving through objects located on other pages. Page actions take page numbers or names, or relative distances, as parameters. Relationships and links between pages do not change if you insert or delete pages.

MCI object actions
MCI actions control MCI objects (animations, CD-Audio, sound, video). These controls include: start, stop, pause, continue, forward, backward, change media, and record. The only required parameter is a target object.

Project actions
Project actions include showing the copyright notice, stopping the presentation (these have no parameters) or loading new StoryBook project files.

File actions
File actions are useful for making CD-ROM menus. With a single button it's possible to copy folders, unpack files, print files, and execute programs. Depending on the action, the user may have the opportunity to provide the path and file name, as well as any parameters required for the action.
