InetPowerServer - LAST MINUTE COMMENTS Last updated: 2000/08/07
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here it is another IPS beta release just before I go on my vacation, there are
numerous fixes and new features in this release even if they are all not in the
history appendix, and even if the release number is on changed from v0.88b1 to
v0.88b2.

Most new features are in the HTTP component and most bug fixes are in the
POP3 and SMTP components. The FTP component are almost unchanged.

*** IMPORTANT ***
If you are using a version of IPS older than v0.88b1, you must reinstall IPS
from scratch. Remember to backup your files first.

Also another important change you should notice is that all the service are
bound to localhost or 127.0.0.1 by default, that mean you can only connect
to them when starting up for the first time. This is a security issue to avoid
the risk of new users starting up IPS and leaving their computers wide open
while configuring IPS.

Please enjoy and do report those bugs on the mailing list.
