Bascat 1.2

Introduction

bascat is a program that will convert BBC BASIC files to text. It has
been written and tested on Linux with GCC 2.7.2. It has also been
compiled in the past on IRIX, Solaris and OSF/1. If you try it on any
other system, I'd be grateful for your feedback.

Installation

Installation under any variant of UNIX should now be easy. Bascat has
been converted to use `autoconf'. Simply follow the instructions in the
`INSTALL' file. Note that there are two extra options to configure,
--with-pager=PAGER set the default pager (default is `more')
--enable-debugging spews vast swathes of useless information

If you want to install on a different platform, you must alter the program
to (probably) not use popen & isatty to spawn a pager. This issue will
be addressed in a future release.
