  TIPS:

Put "RENAMER.EXE" in the "COMMAND" directory/folder, which is a
sub-directory to "WINDOWS" (95/98/ME/?).

   WindowsXP, etc. for Dos Programs:

"Command Prompt" (in Accessories) is similar to "Dos Prompt". Create a
folder (example) "DOS-PGMS" at the root (C:\). Using Notepad, type (without
quotes) "set path=C:\DOS-PGMS" and press Enter. Save this as "AUTOEXEC.BAT"
to the root (C:\) and replace "AUTOEXEC.BAT", if it has 0 bytes (default).

The next time you bootup, you can launch many Dos programs, stored in
"DOS-PGMS", simply by launching "Command Prompt", then type the name of the
Dos program and press Enter.

  VERY IMPORTANT:

"Renamer" does not rename to long filenames. You can use "Renamer" to
rename files with long filenames to the 8.3 Dos filename format.

  PROGRESSIVE:

You can use a three digit number as part of the basename or as the
extension. As an option, you can use a two digit number instead of three
digits as part of the basename.

Note: Two digit number progressive is not allowed in the extension.

  Progressive Filename Examples (initial filename):

  "FLA-M001.JPG"
  "FLA-M110.JPG" (continue progressive)
  "PHOTO-01.JPG" (two digits)
  "PHOTO-22.JPG" (continue two digits progressive)
  "PROJECT.001"
  "PROJECT.245" (continue progressive)

  CONTINUE A PROGRESSIVE RENAMING:

This feature only "works" in the range of 002 - 999 or 02 - 99 (optional two
digits in basename).
