CHARACTER RECOGNITION

Numbers are usually identified more easily than letters. Horizontal
recognition from left to right is usually easier than right to left or
vertical recognition. Hence, the initial setting should be Numbers Left.

Then, the exercise is intuitively obvious, one clicks on the number which
is the same as the number on the left, in the series of five choices
offered. The numbers 1 to 5 on the keyboard can also identify the first to
fifth number in the choices offered. Eyes must be kept at the center of the
screen.

When the score is high and the average response time is as low as you feel
it can be, one can try letters.

To improve recognition span it is good to improve one's skills with the
right to left recognition. It is the same as the left to right with the
number or letters to be identified appearing on the right rather than on
the left side of the screen.

To improve speed at reading lists, the vertical character recognition is
the most direct approach.
