  NOTE:

You can use this version to replace "Scrambler" V1.3. It contains the older
(V1.3) scrambler/unscrambler process too.

  TIP:

Put "SCRAMBLE.EXE" in the "COMMAND" sub-directory to the "WINDOWS"
(95/98/ME) directory/folder or in the "DOS" directory if you have Windows 3.1
or Dos only. This allows you to launch "SCRAMBLE" anywhere as you do with any
Dos command/utility.

  CAUTION NOTE:

Always assume, when you are on the Internet, that your HD (hard drive) is an
"open book". If "COOKIES.TXT" can be read, it is possible to access important
files that contain your financial records, credit card number/s, social
security number, etc. Those files should be scrambled, and the original files
saved to floppies and deleted (better yet, "purged") in the HD.

What do you do if your PC needs to be serviced? Would you feel comfortable
taking your computer to a repair shop with important documents on the HD that
anyone can view?

   "MESSAGE.SSS"

I have included "MESSAGE.SSS" file, which is a scrambled text file for you
to unscramble. For the "Key", enter (exactly) in lower case (without the
quotes):

"i have a message for you" (no period, then press Enter)

The new (created) unscrambled file can have ".TXT" extension or whatever you
want.

To see "MESSAGE.TXT", exit Scrambler program and type the command line
(without quotes):

  "TYPE MESSAGE.TXT" and press Enter.
