What this package does
----------------------
This package provides the Power Management driver for Microsoft 
Windows XP users.  The Power Management driver enables or updates 
the Power Management function of Lenovo Power Management.  The 
following Power Management is integrated into your 3000 
system:

 - Lenovo Power Management

To determine if you should update the Power Management driver refer
to the History of Changes section.

To update the Power Management driver refer to the Installation
Instructions section.

Installation instructions
-------------------------
INSTALL:
* If the PM driver is already installed and the user desires to upgrade
  to a new version or reinstall the existing version, execute the
  silent install command. This will uninstall the previous version.
  Run Setup.exe again after the uninstall has completed, then
  reboot. Setup.exe will install PM driver only after the previous
  install has been uninstalled.

  1. Logon to Microsoft Windows with administrative privileges
  2. Extract this package by double-clicking the downloaded file
     The default extract location is C:\IBMTOOLS\DRIVERS\LPM
  3. Click Start, then click Run.
  4. Specify SETUP.EXE with the full path name where you extracted
     the package in step 2 above and click OK.
  5. The device driver wizard will be launched and When prompted 
     click Next.
  6. When prompted to restart your computer click Yes, then click Finish.


UNINSTALL:

  1. Logon to Microsoft Windows with administrative privileges.
  2. Click Start, then click Control Panel.
  3. Double-click Add or Remove Programs.
  4. Select PM Driver.
  5. Click Change/Remove.
  6. click OK.
  7. When prompted to restart your computer click Yes, then click Finish.


UNATTENDED INSTALL:
This procedure is intended for system administrator use only

  1. Logon to Microsoft Windows with administrative privileges.
  2. Extract this package by double-clicking the downloaded file.
     The default extract location is C:\DRIVERS\LPM.
  3. From a command prompt navigate to the driver location.
  3. Type SETUP.EXE -S and press Enter.


DETERMINING WHICH VERSION IS INSTALLED:

  1. Click Start, then click Control Panel.
  2. Double-click Add or Remove Programs.
  3. Select PM Driver.
  4. Select Click here for support information. The driver version
     will be displayed.
