INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Notes:
- To determine if you should update the Wireless WAN driver, refer to
  the "Summary of Changes" section.
- The following software must be updated when you install this package.
   - ThinkVantage Access Connections ver. 4.12 or higher
   - Hotkey Features for Windows 98/98 SE/Me/NT 4.0/2000/XP
     ver. 1.25.0605 or higher

  This update can be installed with the following methods.
  (A) Automatic install with Software Installer
  (B) Manual install

(A) Automatic Install
    Use Software Installer version 3.21.0601 or higher.

    Software Installer will check both installed drivers
    or ThinkPad software on your ThinkPad and Lenovo Web site, then
    download and install the updated drivers or ThinkPad software
    automatically.

    Refer to the Software Installer package for details.

(B) Manual Install
    Refer to the Manual Install section.

MANUAL INSTALL

 1. Start Windows XP/2000 and logon with administrative privileges.
 2. Extract this package to the hard drive.
 3. Start Explorer and open the folder where the this package was
    extracted. If you extracted the files to a different location,
    specify that location instead.
 4. Double-click \Driver\MC87xx.msi file.
 5. Follow the instructions on the screen.
 6. Restart the computer

DETERMINING WHICH VERSION IS INSTALLED

 1. Start Windows XP.
 2. Click Start, Select Settings, then click Control Panel.
 3. Double-click Add or Remove Programs.
 4. Click "Sierra Wireless HSDPA MiniCard" and click "click here 
    for support information."
 5. Verify the drier Version.
