What This Package Does
----------------------
This package provides the display driver for Windows 98SE users.
This package enables or updates the display function of the following
ThinkPad computer:

  - ThinkPad G40

To determine if you should update the display driver or not, refer to
the "Summary of Changes" section.

To update the display driver, please refer to the "Installation
Instructions" section.

 - (Fix) Restart may be with the different resolution and display mode
         from those at setup just after installing graphic display
         driver.
 - (Fix) LCD may not be turned off by Fn+F3 while dial-up is active.  
 - (Fix) Display mode may not be changed to CRT only mode by Fn+F7 when
         CRT is not attached.    

Installation Instructions
-------------------------

INSTALL:
 1. Start Windows 98SE.
 2. Extract this package onto the hard disk drive.
 3. Click Start, then click Run.
 4. Type C:\DRIVERS\W9X\DISPLAY\GRAPHICS\SETUP in the Open box and click OK.
    If you extracted the files to a different location, specify that
    location instead.   
 5. Follow the instructions on the screen.
 6. Restart the system for the driver to be effective.

UNATTENDED INSTALL:
 1. Start Windows 98SE.
 2. Extract this package onto the hard disk drive.
 3. Click Start and then click Run.
 4. Type C:\DRIVERS\W9X\DISPLAY\GRAPHICS\SETUP -S -SMS in the Open
    box and click OK.
    If you extracted the files to a different location, specify that
    location instead.
 5. Follow the instructions on the screen.

DETERMINING WHICH VERSION IS INSTALLED:
 1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
 2. Double-click the Display icon.
 3. Click the Settings tab.
 4. Click the Advanced button.
 5. Click the Intel(R) Graphics Technology tab, and the version number
    will be displayed.
