
                       DOOM 1.666 E3M9 map bug corrector

  This program will correct the Episode 3 Mission 9 map bug  in  the  DOOM.WAD
file version 1.666. Place it into your DOOM directory and run  it.  Since  the
official patches need the DOOM.WAD file in its original form I  included  that
when run on a corrected file the program will rewrite the bug.

  The size of the DOOM.WAD file must be exactly 11,159,840 bytes. This program
changes the byte at position 2,554,126. If it's a 6 then the file is buggy and
and the byte is changed to 0. If it's a 0 it's changed back to 6. If its value
is neither 0 or 6 or the file size is different from what is required then the
program will halt - the file has probably been changed.

  The source of this program is public domain and provided here "as  is"  -  I
don't feel like commenting it but if you have problems then feel free  to  ask
me. If you derive your own program from the source or put a part of the source
into your own program, please, give me a credit and send a copy to me.
